Tire problems Tire problems
The first day started out with problems. John Herring had a nail in his tire which he apparently brought all the way from Liberty. He ended up missing the first day's ride and getting a new tire from a local motorcycle shop.
Tire problems
Getting things all finished. Put in a plug to get John to a bike shop.
Breakfast Breakfast
John and Brenda were able to get to our first destination after fixing the tire. Of course a place to eat breakfast. Then they went back to the campground to find a place to get a new tire. Enjoying breakfast and telling stories.

The Campground The Campground
The Pecos National Historic Park is an excellent place to see some of the history of the area. It shows some of the lifestyle of the very early settlers of the area and some of the spanish influence on them. There is a nice 1.4 mile walk around the area.
